Sods law

Finished my radiotherapy last week, and apart from the arimidex for the next 5 years, thought things were looking up and I could generally put cancer behind me…until yesterday when my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, grade 7, now awaiting MRI and bone scans.
Looks like were back on the roller coaster.

how rotten for you Tally - my dad had prostate cancer but is fine now,so try not to feel too gloomy- my Sister in law was diagnosed shortly after with v aggressive bc (but is 5 years clear now) and then me last year - it’s a bugger. Lots of good wishes to your dad.

Oh Tally, I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad.

My own Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer about ten years ago (with a very large tumour). He had the whole prostate gland removed, then didn’t need radiotherapy OR chemotherapy and is now fighting fit and well (and he’s nearly 77!!)

I am sure he will find you to be a great support.

Much love

Shenagh x

Tally, i feel for you so much. It all just seems so unfair.

My Dad passed away in September after a very brave fight against pancreatic cancer and two weeks ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through her mastectomy and recon yesterday. Like you thought we had managed to get off the rollercoaster but here we are back on it again.

Hope all goes well for both you and your Dad. x

Tally, just wanted to send love
sometimes life seems so bl**dy unfair…
thinking of you
