I. Was diagnosed with secondaries in march in lung liver and bone multiple and extensive mets, I was put on weekly taxol with severe side effects was taken off after 5 sessions, I was then put on capecitabine I have had 5 cycles so far and had a Ct scan last week to assess progress and I have a report saying clear in lungs and liver, bone mets still noted but less than may scan, I am so pleased as was told this was unlikely to happen has anyone else had this and stayed stable for long periods? Xx
What fantastic news. You must be so relieved. I have just started on Capecitabine but have only had three cycles so far. After the second cycle my LFT’S were back to within the normal range and my tumour markers had reduced so I hope I’ll find the same improvement when I have blood tests next week. You may want to read the Capecitabine top tips thread as there are quite a few ladies who have been on Cap for some time and have stayed stable. Xx
