hi, im mandy and i have my op on 6th oct but would love to meet up and chat with anyone local, i live at dunwear nr b/water. feeling a bit scared by it all at the mo, all my family live in the midlands so it would be great to meet other people!
Great somerset lady - if you name a date I’m sure Lesley and I will fit in as far asw possible - altho Lesley is having rads at the mo - but prob in the mornings - can you meet for lunch in Taunton?
Hi Mandy, would be lovely to meet up. All the best with your op, you’ll need a while to recover from that before going out lunching no doubt - I finish radiotherapy on 20th October but can do lunch most days anyway really as my appointments are 9.30 each morning. So I’ll just fit around everyone else - Mondays aren’t brilliant but other days are usually good.

hi ladies, great you all sent a message, as i am only having my op in 2 days i dont know how i will be feeling so cannot name a date, but if someone sets up a meet im sure i can get hubby to take me, it takes a lot to stop me from having a lunch date, lol

How about Wednesday 21st October? That should give you some time to recover from your op somerset lady - and if it helps I’m sure Lesley and I can travel over to B/water, if you know somewhere nice to eat there.

That sounds wonderful!!! Can I please request anywhere but Zizzi - the last three times I’ve been there the waiters have rushed us in and out within about 45 minutes Last time the food we ordered was in front of us within literally three minutes of ordering it - I’m all for prompt service, but this place is ridiculous - I think Marmite will agree with me!! Also don’t like the way they keep hassling you to see if you’re ok every two minutes.

Sorry you can’t make it Libby - I had a scan a couple of months ago because of a cyst on the ovary - it was absolutely fine, really was just a cyst - apparently around 95% of women get these at some stage. Really hope that’s all it is and that we can all meet up soon
