Hi Girls, I finished rads middle of dec 2009 does anyone else out there suffer from tender breast some days worse than others? It feels like deep tissue soreness and quite itchy at times too. Can you expect this to go on forever? xx
I finished rads at the end of March 2010. I get the itching and sometimes a deep pain. This is not there all the time, but is very annoying when it happens

I don’t know if my problems are exactly the same but I too have an intermittently sore boob - stabbing pains, sometimes burning hot, no feeling when touched. I finished rads this January after WLE and ANC last April.
My sympathy to OP and thanks for raising something I’ve been thinking about doing but as with so much haven’t got round to!

I finished rads in March 2007 and am still experiencing and achy breast, although not nearly as bad as it used to be. It’s also noticeable that one breast is still a different colour (you can see the shape where the treatment was targeted). I still have the itch as well. I think all these things can go on for years to come. Thankfully I no longer get the stabbing that comes out of the blue.

I had a mastectomy and finished rads in December. I saw my Onc in July and told him that I still had tenderness around the area and he said that was to be expected after all the treatment and particularly the rads. I think all this takes a lot longer to recover from that we may have first thought.
