Thanks everyone for the advice - I am happy to say my mouth ulcers did clear up and when I told the onc about them he said they had been caused by a combination of the chemo and having to take antibiotics for the chest infection. I was also advised to drink continually and use the mouth wash every 2/3 hours for a few days following the chemo which I have been doing I have only had ulcers for a couple of days each time since and they clear up with the cordosyl mouthwash. I agree that we all seem to get different advice depending on which unit we are treated at. It can be very confusing but I think having a site like this does help in the middle of the night when you cannot sleep and are really worried about something/
