It’s my first time to post in this forum. I’ve had my surgery last month- on my 4th week now and today is my meeting with the consultant to know the results post surgery and the next steps. My wound site has been dry, no soreness and redness but still numb and tight. I’ve been religiously doing the exercises provided and it is helping. I’ve seen my BCN weekly for wound check and dressing and asked about the numbness around the armpit area and wound site. She said that it is normal after surgery and it will go in time-might take months. She also said that there is a slight fluid build up but my body will absorb it in time. The same feedback from the physio last week, a bit of fluid build up around the armpit and advised me to massage the wound area and use heat pack.
Difficult healing times but I am staying strong and positive. I believe that we will all get through this and we are not alone in this journey.

Another update…
I saw my BC nurse this morning as my scar was oozing really badly. She said I had a seroma and drained 50mls of fluid. No wonder I was in pain! I’m hoping it will start to feel a bit better now, although she said it could fill up again 
Crikey @dolly-diva22, no wonder it was painful! I’m in for a dressings appointment tomorrow but I don’t get my surgery results until 31/1.

I hope that goes well tomorrow. My results appointment is 26th. It’s seemed like such a long wait x
