Hi All,
I am 35 years old and was diagnosed with IBC in July last year, 7 months after my daughter was born. I went through FEC, Mastectomy, radiotherapy and have been on tamoxifen since January. My armpit is constantly throbbing and my bones around my wound have started to get sore.
Could someone maybe advise me if this is normal. The aches and pains have only started to get worse over the past few weeks.
Thanks
Jean
Hi Jean
So sorry to hear of all you have been through while having a young baby. I haven’t had a mastectomy but have had all the rest and Herceptin. I can say that nearly 2 years later I still get throbbing and my ribs have been sore since radiotherapy over a year ago. I had a bone scan I was so worried and all was clear. Hope this is some reassurance, even if not entirely the same experience.
Thinking of you
J
