I was diagnosed with breast cancer which was oestrogen receptive.I have had surgery and am now undergoing chemo, to be followed by radiotherapy and then tamoxifen. I have had conflicting info regarding soya products - can anyone tell me whether I should or should not avoid them as my cancer was oestrogen receptive.

Yes, I have also heard that they still do not know if soya is good or bad for you.
I watched a programme about living longer and the people who live to over 100 years in Japan, ate a lot of soya.
I also heard somewhere else that the benefits of soya only occur if you have been eating it since childhood.

There is so much conflicting advice. The Japanese don’t use cows’ milk, do they?
Mine was identified ER+ from core biopsy, further info to follow post-surgery. I too am baffled at advice re dairy products and soya products. I’ve steered clear of the emotive books. Right now, three days before surgery, chocolate and Baileys sounds a great staple diet… but I really wish there was more consistent professional advice.
