For most people it’s fine to use saunas and spa and there is no evidence that hot tubs or saunas increase your risk of lymphoedema. The only time that it’s advisable to avoid places where there is extreme heat is if you have lymphoedema when it may make the swelling worse.
You may want to check if the spa you are going to have specific requirements for cancer patients, for example some may want confirmation from your treatment team that it’s ok for you to use the facilities and have any treatments. You could ask you breast care nurse if you can have a letter to say its ok for you to use the facilities.
