special day with Willow foundation if your 16-40

Hi Ladies

I’ve just come back from an unbelievable weekend in London - thanks to the Willow Foundation, my mc nurse gave me the forms and I visited their website, I asked if they could arrange a weekend break in London for me and my husband, we’ve had a tough few years and havent spent much quality time together, we wanted to visit a few tourist sites.

Willow booked and paid for everything.

It was an amazing weekend, knackering but an experience we’ll never forget.

Any of you younger ladies out there who are finding things tough, look into willow, they do an amazing job.

Hi Sue,

My BCN has recommended them to me and I’ve just filled in their application form. I have asked for a weekend at Centre Parcs for myself, husband and youngst daughter. Did they pay for travel, food as well as accommodation?

I’m only 40 for another three weeks, do you think it’s too late?

The idea of a weekend away with my husband & children sounds fantastic, but nothing works until my line comes out on May …

Ostrich - love that name by the way, yes they paid for travel, and accomodation, and had an allowance (£100) to charge to the room in the hotel, so we spent very little cash and all sight seeing trips were pre booked and paid for by willow including the travel arrangements!. Hope you have a fab time.

Mum2two - think you might just of missed out it does say age 16 - 40 would imagine 40 is included but not after, there must be other foundations out there that do similar things, ask your mc nurse. Good luck

Mum2two - Idon’t think you’ve missed out. Get your form filled in. A friend of mine was treated the other year and she was just over the sell by date also. She threw a big party, all cateredr by willow, for her friends and family to say thanks for all the support she recieved during treatment Obviously its not definite but it is a charity after all.
good luck xx

it is worth applying, its months later when you actually think wow that was an experience of a life time!

hi, can you get it for having b cancer or does it have to be secondaries?
Thanks

if you’re over 40, then there is a sister organisation called ‘The Honeyrose foundation’. They cater from 40 upwards but don’t know upper age limit but talks about 'younger ’ … They do the same thing as Willow - just google it.
Lisaf - can’t remember if for primary or just secondary – just google willow foundation and it will tell you.
