I’m 5wks post WLE and SLNB awaiting rads and for the past couple of days have been experiencing Stabbing pain in the op area everything else is fine no swelling or redness things seem to be as they should be is this the natural healing process? I understand that they do dig around a bit thankyou in advance :))
Yes I got the stabbing / shooting pains. I think i read it is to do with the nerves being effected by the op.
Walkabout thankyou I believe it is too but it’s good to hear someone else say it :))
Its quite normal Loobyb , im 15 months post surgery and still get them now and then as walkabout said its damaged nerves some ladies still experience stabbing pains up to 3 years after, hope this has put your mind at rest

I didn’t get much in the way of pain or stabbing post surgery, but I did during rads - and still do from time to time (I’m 3 months out now). I have also heard that it is just the nerves “rewiring” as the tissue heals.
Hope your pain settles down and that rads doesn’t aggravate it!

I get them too and am only a week post op. Currently my boob is also bigger than before- feels like I have had a boob job!! Wish I had asked for a double reduction at the same time as BCC has done such a neat job!! ha ha
