Got my 13th Herceptin on Friday, so heres to continued nose dripping!!
Anyone else suffering with lower back ache and aches in knees whilst on Herceptin? Not sure if this is the cause or Tamoxifen, which Im also on. BCN said its the Herceptin and its cumulative. So it will get worse before it gets better!!
Obviously, I cant help worrying about every ache and pain, so if anyone else can reassure me I’d be very grateful.

I think we can hobble round the track together, my hips have been killing me the last few days, especially my left hip. They’re both aching like toothache and feel heavy. It’s worse at night too, and has been keeping me awake. The mattress seems too hard for my hips, but we’ve had the mattress for over 2 years and its never felt like this before. Ive now resorted to painkillers at night just to settle.
My back isnt too bad at the moment, but I did have back pains for 3-4 months at the end of 2011
I think it might be tamoxifen related. I can feel my hips aching now as I type this. My knees arent too bad but other people on recent threads have mentioned knee pains.

I’m another herceptin sufferer! Not a runny nose, (although whilst on tax, my eyes and nose both streamed) I have the achy legs, stiff joints and at times a real deep ache in my legs, a bit like it was after having a neuralasta injection, during chemo. I’m not on tamoxifen, but Tax stopped my periods, so my oestrogen levels have probably dropped through the floor. So probably a combination of Tax, herceptin & menopause (getting plenty of hot flushes!) xxx
I guess that anybody who finishes their course of herceptin will automatically be disqualified from the Olympics even though their nose continues to drip post-treatment. I will be petitioning the Olympic Committee to get a dispensation to allow anyone who is currently receiving herceptin to be allowed to compete so please let me know if you wish to sign the petition.
Please bear in mind that you may be called up for drought relief duties by the Minister of Drought during the hosepipe ban which comes into force in a couple of weeks, and this could seriously jeopardize our chances of a gold medal. In this eventuality I will be petitioning the Olympic Committee to award us an honorary gold medal for our committment to the sport of nose-running.

if required!!! I have no 16 ‘H’ tomorrow so begins the glorious hunt the vein game! I wonder if the cardi tissue flinging will be part of the games? I think I could do well at that! Mind you if you can see my lost energy anywhere can you let me know I am sure I left it somewhere but I’m blowed if I know where in fact I can’t remember what it looks like! Nana cardis rule! Em - hope tomorrow goes ok and they get your vein first time, they used to use my thumb vein if they havent tried there.
Yes cardy tissue flinging should definetly be part of the games, I second that motion.

I get joint pain in my hips but my knees seem ok. If I walk anywhere ir try and exercise my legs ache the following day. Maybe it is the tamoxifen?!

Ive always been between 8 and a half and 9 stone and now im 10 stone!!!
Could never put on weight either so its got to be the treatment.
My bellys like a wedding cake too!!
