The zoo is called Marwell, just so you have an idea of distance. Its got the usual animals and a fabulous Giraffe house. The Winter Wonderland was great last year they made the whole Santa experience really exciting. They also make a small ice rink and sell roasted chestnuts etc.

A Mojito is simply one of the best cocktails!!! I love them. It’s essentially made of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime, carbonated water and mint. It’s fab as it is not too sweet and quite refereshing. Plus, it doesn’t look so naff, you know, when you order some drinks they just look so silly that you feel like a bit of a try hard nob when you drink them. Trust me, you will enjoy them (nb, that it is in the plural as you can never just have one, but lots!)
as to the zoo - will check is out and esp keen as to the winter wonderland.

My little brain has been on overdrive. Re: Christmas outing to Marwell I think its a good idea to agree a date between those that wish to come because as soon as the Winterwonderlord tickets are availble I can make a block booking. (Tickets prices for this was £5 last year). They get booked up really quickly!!!
I know we have agreed a date of 6th December for the Christmas dinner (evening with OH). So can you let me know what date you would prefer from (I am assuming Sat and Sun are better)
November 29th and 30th December 6th and 7th Sunday 21st December . We will discuss at lunch at the next meeting but this is incase some people cant make that but would like to come to Marwell.

I’m in a real dilemma - as can swallow and eat quite well but not sure how I’ll be in December for evening out. What’s the latest I can leave it to book that?
Same with Marwell - any date OK with me/family but depends on how I am.
At least I don’t need to cyber eat food now - I can actually eat it so had chicken and rice yesterday in mushroom sauce.
Alcohol - I’ve gone right off it but if you could arrange a cocktail or two I might be tempted to return this evening - especially if they are strawberry flavoured.

Re: Xmas dinner, there may be 2 ways around it. Leaave your decision until the last minute and I can always book you a place nearer the time as I am sure they could an extra place at the table. Or I would think they will ask for a deposit from each of us so I could book you a place and if you dont go you may lose your deposit (although someone may wish to come in your place). I’ll have more info at the next meeting, if not before.
Glad you can eat/swallow a bit easier. I love chicken and mushroom.

Saw surgeon…only a few results back, all ok but te main ones are still being processed!!! Theres a delay, apparently, I suppose that could be bad news but they seem to think they are really busy with a new system. Find out next week.
