Hi Twinkle,
There’s a thread for people starting chemo in August. I’ll find the link in a second.
I was TERRIFIED (more than a little nervous!) about starting chemo. But I am now over halfway through and promise you it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. If you have any nasty side effects, they will do all they can to prevent you from having them on your next round. My worst have been queasiness (but not enough to stop me from stuffing my face!) and tiredness from the chemo and the steroids they give you make me really hungry and disturb my sleep patterns. So I do try and stock up on healthy snacks - but it doesn’t always stop me from reaching for the biscuits!!
I’m on a fortnightly regime, and have 2 days after chemo feeling OK, then 2-4 days of feeling really sleepy and a bit queasy and then a week of feeling 100% normal and fine. Most people are on a 3 weekly regime so have a bit longer feeling OK.
I’m 33 and have met other young 'uns who worked all through chemo.
The thing is, it affects everyone in different ways. But with 3 kids you’ll obviously want to continue life as normally as possible, so chat to your onc or BCN and make sure you have the stronger antisickness tablets etc.
I’ll find that other link and pop it in here so you can chat to people at the same stage as you (and feeling as nervous as you!). But obviously those of us a bit further down the line are always here to answer questions too!!
Good luck - and welcome to the forums.

Here we go - other ladies starting chemo in August are posting in here: breastcancercare.org.uk/forum/starting-chemo-in-august-t32575s24.html
There are other threads for ladies who started in previous months, which are quite useful to dip in and out of and we all pop into the other months to ask and answer questions.
Oh, there’s also a top tips thread. I’ll find that for you too!!
Thank you so much x
