I think you could be right about the numbness and the steroids Marina, when I think about it I think my se’s are from the steroids as opposed to the chemo as my worst se has been indigestion, and I got that when I started the pre Tax steroids, so I can’t blame the chemo!

I must confess I don’t know how you can stick wearing your wig - especially as oh looks so much better in it. I find mine so hot - but am seriously considering investing in one that is cooler so I can wear it sometimes.
I have a confession now though, I have taken to wearing ‘Samy’ to go from the front door to the car in case I’m seen by the neighbours! Soon as I’m out of sight, off it comes, and on goes the Buff lol. What on earth is that all about huh? Oh thinks I’m crazy, but I just want to be seen as normal by peeps who know me - I don’t care about strangers! Oh vanity.

Girlies, I think you’ve misread my post. OK, OK, I don’t fancy eating meat (this worries me quite a bit! I am a meat and potatoes kinda gal) but I can eat HUGE amounts of ice cream (two tubes yesterday) and winegums in any quantity. Now, why can’t I crave lettuce?

My nose runs constantly and is very sore. I’ve put some 8 hour cream in it which made me sneeze violently so stopped that now…

Had a lovely night in the pram with Guy. Space is pretty tight in there what with my huge ass and Guy’s pie belly so we had to throw the polar bear out…

Sue, you can baseball man to yourself, I really don’t mind. My mouth is still the only se so far, oh the anticipation of it all. Slept really well last night, went to bed at 22:30 and got up at 9:45, I woke up with a few sweats and had the hokey kokey duvet game.

Julianna, my appetite went a bit awry on last FEC but could always manage ice cream.

Happy Mother’s day to all you brilliant mums! I hope you have a lovely day. I’ll be doing the rounds this afternoon, they both live nearby and I have the flowers all ready. I did battle in ASDA yesterday for the best flowers, and I mean did battle! I’ll wrap them all nicely in a minute.
OH has gone off to walk our friend’s dog on this absolutely gorgeous morning. It’s heaven down here in the marina on days like this. Everybody’s out and about having a good natter.

Sounds like you TAXers are suffering, but coping very well. Well done! Keep fighting back. It seems like most people are changing to TAX now doesn’t it.
Fingers crossed I’m doing well I think. This is such a relief after last time when I wanted to die. Itching to get over to the boat tomorrow after DN has been to flush my line. I’m hoping to make myself reasonably useful until my next round. Trouble is having a PICC I have to be very careful with my arm so no sanding etc for me.
The time is flying by isn’t and maybe there’s some light at the end of the tunnel?
So sorry I haven’t responded properly to everybody. I don’t feel like I have much to say for myself really.
Anyway, I must have a shower and get those flowers ready so that when OH gets back we can be off.

Soc - thank you for being honest re the Tax, I’m really not looking forward to it & have been out buying ginger biscuits & loads of handcream! The FEC wasn’t great, it did pass, but still have my sore arm. Veins a lot better, been rubbing in loads or arnica, which seems to help. Its good to read everyone’s experiences, as I know they can be so different.
Hope everyone doing ok, first day of Spring next week! Yay!

Tax truck is receding gradually - feel v weak today, but better than yesterday and appetite returning.
Sue - don’t know how you can eat chilli - I can now only eat v bland food because of heartburn. Lot of things too acidy.
My fingernails and end of fingesrs are feeling a bit tender, but feet ok. Haven’t bothered with dark nail polish, but I’m putting Flexitol nail and cuticle cream on my nails every night.

Slept well last night as the codeine knocks me for 6. Was grateful for that.
Still in immense pain wen Will this blasted tax truck move on? Jo my fingers are extremely sore. I can’t even open wrappers at min. But get to Holland and barrett and get some wheatgerm oil rub it on nail bed by cuticle. Just started today but seems to be the best thing to do according to my aromatherapist.

Julianna that Irish Pub sounds good…how I would kill to be there right now!! I tell you I’m so looking forward to feeling like a normal person again once this crap is over. I would have loved to have gone out yesterday with Paddy’s day as an excuse. Even today seems nice out but I’ve been in some strange kinda trance all day. Gonna venture out to OH’s Mum’s for tea later, looking forward to seeing the outside world. I love my house but I need to get out. Although at the same time I don’t feel a can…TAX!!! Gonna force myself into the bath now, hopefully this will bring me round.

Church service this am, where ED was dancing again, and was a funny family service, so plently of laughs!! Breakfast in bed by YD first though which was lovely…
straight to pub for lunch with m-I-l, the last supper, as she starts her chemo tomorrow am. OH very stressed and we cleared the air a bit after, i’m too much of a control freak and keep telling him to do stuff, he doesn’t like the bossing!!! oooerrr!! hard to let go when you’ve been in controll of the kids for so long. we shall get there, i just need to bite my tounge!!
i am in running too for most weight put on, not that i have weighed myself!!! I had 2 takeaways yesterday, and went to the cafe! has not affected my appetite a bit, except i eat more…giving it what it needs at mo, will look at scales at end!
lot more sicky this round, hate that feeling, do yoou get that with tax?? well according to all you TAXers my baseballbatman shall hit around Easter weekend!!, round 4 and 1st TAX on Tues 3rd April, we shall see…

Well, what a glorious day! Lazed around until the lure of the garden (and oh chomping at the bit)finally got to me, and spent a couple of hours weeding. Feel very virtuous now:) Grass cut, and potatoes popped in too.
Humongous (that’ll test you Julianna lol) chicken roasting away, smells delish, but prob won’t be able to taste it:(
