Evening all,
I’m due to have a needle biopsy to investigate suspicious lesion in lower half of my sternum in close proximity to the manubriosternal junction. I think it will be done under a quick general anaesthetic but I’m nervous about the whole procedure, let alone the outcome.
Has anyone undergone anything similar? I wondered whether it’s painful afterwards and what sort of bruising to expect. I remember screaming when I looked at my boob three days after those first biopsies … I was so shocked to see it completely black.
If anyone has any experience of procedures on the sternum, and how it was managed after if it turned out to be metastatic, I’d appreciate any information/advice/reassurance :o)
