stomach mets?

I know it’s unusual but I’ve heard that sometimes bc can spread to the digestive system. Has anyone had this, and what are the symptoms?

I’ve had gastritis for years and it was well controlled till a month ago and now I have horrible stomach symptoms. Obviously I hope it’s “just” gastritis but I can’t help wondering if my bc mets have spread to the stomach :frowning:

I’m seeing my GP for treatment and tests but if it doesn’t improve soon I might ask the oncologist to refer me for urgent tests, even if it’s only to rule out stomach mets and put my mind at rest.

This is so unfair - I’ve been managing well with mets and treatment and now I feel awful, this is worse than chemo with no end in sight. I can’t believe that stupid overgrown heartburn can make me feel so much worse than cancer. Sorry, needed a whinge!

Really sorry to hear you’re feeling so poorly. There seem to be loads of bugs around at the moment including winter vomiting syndrome which has affected hundreds of thousands.

My understanding is that stomach mets are unusual with breast cancer (breast cancer cells prefer lungs, livers, bones and the brain as you know) but not unknown…the b****y disease can get anywhere.

Think you’re right to insist on more tests if your symptoms don’t go soon.
