Hi everyone, great site, it seems I am about two and a half years late in joining!

I am just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced any stomach problems long after chemo? I had 8 cycles of FEC-T during 2011 followed by an op and radio.

Since then I can no longer seem to tolerate any medications that have been prescribed (antibiotics, anti depressants for control of hot flushes, NSAIDS, meds for indigestion and heartburn) all cause me various stomach complaints. Never had any problems with any kind of medications before chemo.

In lots of ways I feel my stomach has been a lot more sensitive since chemo, I’ve mentioned this to my GP but she didn’t really reply, though the lady doing my ultrasound recently said she had heard of this before. I am currently undergoing a process to rule things out as the cause of my problems.

Just to say I too have tummy problems - I finished my chemo a year ago and my stomach is still not right - I am very sensitive too and I find I have to eat a light diet. I found adding linseeds to cereal helped, taking acidipholis. I can’t really cope with fruit. I don’t really have any other help I can offer, except to let you its not you!

PS my GP and oncologist not very helpful. I feel it is one of the (many) things to learn to live with as the ‘new’ me.
