Hello everyone hope you’re all staying positive. I was wondering where some of you had your strattice reconstruction surgery. I am based in thr Midlands and willing to travel to find a good surgeon who uses this technique as I hear more and more about how amazing it is !! Replies would be appreciated xxx

I had bilateral mx and immediate reconstruction using strattice in august last year. I was very lucky that the surgeon was able to put in permanent implants at the same time. At my review in march the surgeon is less happy with the finished look and feels I could do with a bigger implant and a tidy up 
to me they r perfect! Have beenadvised to wait further year before nipple reconstruction or tattoos in case I want to do the tidying up?! Ihad two drains for 1 week, then just 1 drain either side for the 2nd week. Not able to drive for 6 weeks, took a bit of getting used to the feeling when changing gears etc as muscle in front of implant not behind. Was religious with exercises and had 4 phsio sessions to ensure got full movement back.
Am currently recovering from hysterectomy as have an unidentified gene in family (extensive history on my dads side)

Hi kels, I had immediate reconstruction with strattice and implants in January this year, at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford.
I’m really delighted with the result, I hope you are able to find a surgeon and hospital where you can get it done.
