Support Groups in North London?

There obviously arent any already existing groups in north London so I am wondering if we can start our own. I live in N.Finchley (N12) and would like to meet up with anyone else whobis interested. Coffee Republic at N.Finchley. Suggestions for dates please.

Sorry for delay in answer. Where are you going for treatment? I am at Royal Free Barnet. Barnet General really. I have just had my second chemo and feeling fine. How about you?

Hi Superness, When would be a good date and time for us to meet up? I will also ask around at other local Breast Units to see if anyone else is interested.

This might not be relevant now but I live in Hertfordshire and had fantastic support from Cherry Lodge in Union Street, Barnet.  I went to them right through my treatment where I had lovely alternative treatments and meetings with others in the same situation.  They were really helpful and made a big difference to getting through it all.  Lots of people keep going long after they finish treatment which is a good sign.

Hi, I live in North Finchley and my daughter lives very close to Ally Pally. It would be great to meet up with you and Vanessa. I am just about to start my last week of radiotherapy having already had chemo and a mastectomy. My number is (removed due to Ts and Cs)

I would definately still be interested in meeting up.  I don’t have your numbers (and we aren’t allowed to post them). I don’t know how to private message either!  If you do, then please private message me and we can sort something out.  Otherwise, I suggest we try to find a convenient time/date between us and go for it!  I have two young children and its the school holidays so I have to admit that mid-September would be a good time to start for me!

Thurs and Fri term time are good for me too. Sunday 11th wouldn’t work though.

How about Thursday 15th Sept or Friday 16th Sept? We could pencil a date in and then see if any of the other ladies can also make it.  Probably good to get something in the diary though!

Unfortunately I can’t meet up until later in the year either due to the school holidays.  Can you possible make Thursday 15th or Friday 16th of September?  I know it seems a long way off but it will be here pretty quickly!

Hi everyone

 

Breast Cancer Care are running some Moving Forward courses in North London. These free courses take place over four weeks (of four half days) at hospitals around the UK. If you’re coming to the end of your hospital-based treatment or have recently finished, they are a great way to meet other women in a simular situation and to hear from expert speakers on a range of topics.

 

We run courses at Chase Farm Hospital (Enfield) and North Middlesex Hospital (Edmonton) as well as at University College Hospital (Central London). To find out more or to book a place, please contact us on movingforward@breastcancercare.org.uk or call 0345 077 1893.

Now that the children are back at school can we all meet up. I am busy making a dress for a wedding guest this week. I am available any day next week except Thursday.
