Feenix good luck today hope you are able to get some good news. Thinking about you x
My results aren’t ready so the wait goes on :smileylol:
Hope everyone’s having an ok day
xx
Just back from the hospital. Good news is no more surgery or chemo. Have to have some bone scans next week, radiotherapy treatment plan appointment next week then the wonderful hormone suppressant drugs for the next 5 years. So very relieved and grateful for everyone’s support xxx
That is wonderful news mcnlucc!! Now relax!! Feenix you have another wait poor you, hang in there. I just found out my CT won’t be scheduled until July, which is no good as have meeting with onc on 27 june!! Now have to ring onc tomorrow to see what happens! Grrr I wish these department s talked to each other, at this rate I’ll be finished chemo before the results of the pre tests!
So pleased for you mcnulcc. Xx
Linda, it was small. 2cm. Actually just received my report from the oncologist today. Apart from it being TN everything else is good news?
Helena. Not sure waiting for a phone call for that as well. To be honest with you once again I was like a rabbit in the headlights. Had loads of questions to ask but didn’t get them all out. Will have to ring BC nurse tomorrow
Feenix so sorry about your results do they know when they might be able to give you some news.
To all of you other brave warrior ladies thank you so much for your support it is very much appreciated. We all still have a long road to travel but we will make it. Xxxx
Cdc. Make sure you take care with all this running about. Are you able to have someone go with you?
. I got a call yesterday asking me to confirm I was able to go to my appointment on Friday. Secretary suprised when I told her I didn’t know I had an appointment with oncologist.!. When I told her I hadn’t had my bone scans she told me not to worry about that but the surgeon had said I would need bone scans before I saw oncologist. It’s all very confusing and not helped by the fact that my brain just seems not to be able to deal with more than the simplest of things at the moment. I don’t know why I am like this given the good news I got on Tuesday.
Fennix any update on when you might get results yet?
Kip and ktk how are you both doing. Sun has Disappeared here we now have gale force winds and black sky so don’t think we will be going far today… Love to everyone. Chris x
Hi Kip. Glad your not feeling to bad after Chemo. Make sure you take it easy. I used to work a couple of days from home when I used to work in the city. It’s quite easy to get engrossed and forget the time so plenty of breaks and get fluids into you, love and hugs Chris x
So I rang yesterday to actually find out when and where my appointments were! I have a New Patient assessment on Monday the Tuesday PICC line at 9am followed by first chemo at 10.30. Last day at work today for a while. It has been nice being back without the stress of my usual role.
Good to hear how you are all doing. Hugs Kxx
Appointments appointments… blughghghgg! They do my head in… You are all coping so well with all these changes to appointments. CDC - i have just taken off my wrist bands but very nervously…they will be going straight back on if anything changes… may be a permanent fixture until September! :smileyvery-happy:
Appointment with oncologist this afternoon to talk through radiotherapy. Still no appointment for bone scans so will mention this afternoon. Feels like we are all having appointment problems this week. I really hope you all get sorted. My son is away at the moment and I don’t have a dad so I’m trying to plan something nice for fathers day for my OH he has been amazing through all of this and doesn’t deserve some of the c…, I have given him the last few months… I might try and find a nice easy walk with a pub or similar at the end to treat him. What ever you are doing this weekend ladies try to enjoy get plenty of rest and spend quality time with your loved ones. Battles with appointments restart Monday xx
I have never reacted to dressings at any time but after my pre surgery blood test I had a square plaster which left the area red and 2 months later I have a feint line on my upper arm side of where the plaster was.
After my masectomy I had a dressing as most do and this was removed 2 weeks later (although I had to replace after 5 days as it got wet in the shower) along with the scar strip dressing.
I now have a 3 inch line scar from the middle of where my boob was to my under arm about 1.5 inches above my masectomy scar, which was the edge of my dressing, I suppose I should be fortunate I do not have a scar all the way round where the dressing went!
Pleased the mepore dressings were ok cdc. Hope you can ditch the vacc dressings and start chemo tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a good week all round xx
CDC. Great news regarding the dressings. Found this thought on Internet yesterday and think it will be my mantra for a few weeks… A litte progress everyday adds up to great results… Hope all goes well over the next few days. Still waiting for appointments for bone and CT Scans and Rads planning meeting. Started on the hormone tablets on Saturday fingers crossed any se will be minimal.
Hope every one else is OK xx
Fennix meant to say hope you get some good news early this week xx
Feenix. I am interested in your egg curry recipe etc. Could you let me havee the recipe please and any others you may have? Many thanks. Sorry to hear your bad news. Consider all your options re reconstruction as you dont want to burn your bridges as my surgeon said to me. x
