hi jill glad to hear you are doing ok after surgery. i have been on yet another trip to the hospital for seroma draining yes as soon as it is drained then it seems to be filling up again. they say that with this kind of surgery it does happen and will eventually stop filling up and everyone is different with how long this does take. i should be starting the inflation on my implant next week. feeling a little scared but i know its another step forward to getting back to normal. i have had a few up and down days this past week and woke a few mornings feeling really low are you feeling the same. keep in touch. sending you positive thoughts . lots of luv julie xx

Hi
Thanks just saw your posts.
I am getting nervous now, have been quite ratty with OH poor wee soul he is so lovely too. I will be glad when it’s over, think it’s a fear of the unknown. It does help hearing you have both been through it and it wasn’t too bad. I have a lovely surgeon who couldn’t be nicer and have heard his wrok is really good. Not sure how to get rid of my stress today, going in for a sential node scan at 11. Any tips on destressing?? Feel like i want to scream, it’s all bottled up!!
Lots of love

Hi Jayne,
You are bound to be feeling nervous, and if the way of getting it out of your system is by being ‘ratty’ then so be it!
when l had my mx in May l was tearful, we all cope in our own way, for me the mx was better than the lumpectomy and node clearance in March, with regards to pain, with the mx l had hardly any pain.
l felt any cancer left in this breast has now gone, whereas in March, l kept wondering if anything had been left!
Wasn’t sure if l would look at the scar straight away, decided l would deal with that when it happened. l did look straight away, and just thought the cancer has gone! and another stage was over.
Keep yourself as busy as you can today, it wont be easy, but it is oh so do-able, you have been through far worse than this since your diagnosis, so if the tears want to come let them, if you want to rant, then rant away, whatever make you feel a little better.
Hope the sentinel node scan goes well!
It will be another stage over with Jayne!
Lots of Love and Hugs coming your way

Thanks Sandra,
That does help to know. Yes not sure if i will look straight away either but have thought the same just see what happens. Sential node scan was easy if only everything was that ok.
Thanks for your kind words, i am looking forward to having the cancer gone from my body. And it does help to know other people go through it all the time, so grateful for this forum.
Lots of love

Hi Jayne
On Sunday I read through your starting chemo Monday … Thread as am half way through mine and I needed to see a light at the end of the tunnel. You and the other girls posts really helped to lift my spirits and make it seem possible. My op’s were in April and I just wanted to say I am sure you will be fine and good luck . It really helped me to know that the cancer was gone from my breast. Carrying that lump around in me was the hardest thing I have done and after the op I knew it was gone- the cancer I could feel and worry about was not in my body anymore. It was such a relief. I hope you feel that too.debx
Thanks Deb
Yes i am sure it will feel better when it’s gone. I have been totally aware that it’s still there all the time.
Hope your feeling a bit better about chemo now. I really struggled after no 3 and then it went quite quick to the end. My last was 6 weeks ago and it seems like a distant memory at the moment, so easily forgetable too, well nearly i do still remember it. Hope the last few go quickly and easily.
Thanks for the message xxxxx
Hi Jayne,
Just reading through this post and thought i’d let you know i’m just over two weeks post mx and it has been fine. The operation was over before I knew it. The first week I was a bit immobile but soon got the hang of things and day by day I am more and more active.
I’d advised you to have a nice soak in the bath as it will be a week or so before you can do that and a great big stretch and maybe a back massage if someone can do that for you. I came out of hospital the following day with one drain in and it really wasn’t half as bad as I thought and not really painful just uncomfortable.
All the best. Emma xx
Thanks Emma i will do that i love baths.

I will be thinking of you tommorow and will look forward to hearing from you when you come back from hospital.
