I have been on one brand of Tamoxifen for 5 years now (Relon Chem) and have not had any side effects and it’s been good for me. Progressively I am unable to find it through my pharmacy or through any of my local pharmacies. I have even called Relon Chem themselves who said they have lost a couple of major contracts which will be impacting who supplies it. They are getting at least one call a day from women trying to track it down. Any suggestions as to what I can do next, I have two more tablets left and have spent the last month trying to track it down. I am very loathe to try another brand after so long as I am worried that I will have side effects.

Hi jojo1,
Thanks for posting. It’s understandable you would like to continue on the brand of tamoxifen you have been taking for 5 years if you haven’t had any side effects.
It sounds as though you have explored all options in trying to obtain the specific brand, including contacting the manufacturer. Although you are concerned about taking a different brand, unfortunately you may not have a choice as it sounds as though this may be a supply issue. Hopefully this will not alter how you feel when taking it.
