Hi there
I’m 2 and a half years out but I had problem too. Rad leaves you with all sorts of pains and swelling and I wouldn’t worry too much.
Went abroad a week after my rads with no problem. Have been abroad loads of time since and whilst I’ve always covered the area of my rads, the rest has been fine.
I’m a sun-lover but perhaps you’ve just got too much sun in the radiated area. Get it checked - but I’m sure that you’ll be OK.

Hi Rozita,
I also had similar treatments and burned badly in rads - also healed well. Swolen breast too. Asked surgeon if he had any advice re massage to help; then he said MLD might help. It does - greatly!
Lymphoedema of breast is often undiagnosed. I wondered if i was making a fuss… but the specialist nurse said it was better to treat early not late and hopefully prevent other problems. I have been taughht a special ( and easy) massage which i do each day for about 15 mins and it has improved things greatly. My suggestion is to ask if you can be referred to a lymphoedema specialist for assessment. If this isnt forthcoming - many hospices have sessions with lymphoedema specialists. Good Luck! Chris
