Tamoxifen Abandoned hysteroscopy under general

Hi;
Just wondering if anyone ever had a hysteroscopy under general that was abandoned due to stenosed cervix ( couldn’t get to uterus?)
Yesterday was a pretty weepy day! I was undergoing a hysteroscopy for a thickened uterus 14mm ( post menopause on tamoxifen 11 months) surgeon said he tried everything dilation etc but didn’t want to risk perforation.
So I had the trauma of general and recovery for nothing :disappointed:
Next step mri scan apparently then results. He did mention sometimes the scan can show thickening when actually it’s fluid behind the uterus and not thickness. had stopped tamoxifen for 4 weeks as was worried ( agreed by breast surgeon) but not sure to wait or start it before mri. Breast surgeon wants me to continue tamoxifen rather than go into an aromatise inhibitor due to osteoporosis.
Gynaecologist did mention hysterectomy which got me very worried however being asymptomatic with no bleeding that’s a last resort. Thickening was only picked up due to another abdominal scan I had for a different issue now resolved.

Just wondering if anyone had anything similar or if it’s just me being an unusual case!
Lots of love x
