Any advice on best time of day to take Tamoxifen. Have had Zolodex and 6 weeks of Letrozole pre surgery but now starting Tamoxifen and start Radiotherapy in 2 weeks. No need for chemo thankfully due to an Oncoscore of 11. Was initially having lots of flushes and nightsweats but got them under some control. Now started Tamoxifen and the nght sweats are back and I wondered if this will calm down over time and is it worth taking them in the morning rather than before bedtime. Any views or advice most welcome.
I switched from taking mine from the evening to the morning after suffering terrible night sweats. I’m not sure it has helped massively, maybe a little. It has helped take it more consistently though as I found if I waited until later in the day I’d forget more often.
It’s certainly worth trying.
