Yes, unfortunately tried venlefaxine a while back and did nothing for my depression.

I have had that one too !!! i think that is why on Duloxetine as exhausted all other options. I have had depression for over 20 years and in that time i have been through most things.Cipralax is like citalopram which I was on for 8 years until bc etc and stopped working.

rachy i think you have to weigh it up… tamoxifen shouldnt stop working with it but just may not work as effectively.
they are still doing more research so might have more info in the future, one norwegian study actually showed the opposite and that bc was less likely to return if your on an ssri, so who knows what they will eventually find out.

discussed it with GP today and start weaning myself off seroxat tomorrow do it over 2 weeks then go back to see her to discuss mental health, this is gonna be fun!
also seeing surgeon to discuss oophorectomy - just to add more craziness into the mix

I saved a document which listed the Ads which should be avoided while taking Tamoxifen and Seroxat (paroxetine) is one of them.
It says,
“Drug interactions with tamoxifen are important because
the drug is extensively converted to active metabolites
(breakdown products) in humans and these
metabolites may be responsible for many of the effects
of the drug. Since the main active metabolite is made
by an enzyme in the liver called cytochrome P450
2D6 (CYP2D6), drugs that powerfully block the activity
of the enzyme may reduce the effects of tamoxifen.”
The list of drugas is as follows,note they are not all AD’s

Fluoxetine (Prozac®)
