I understand that one of the side effects of Tamoxifen is blood clots (DVT). I asked my oncologist whether I should take baby Asprin. He said there would be no need for that as long as I drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Would this be safe?

I did take the low dosage aspirin for about a year when I started Tamoxifen but the flushes got so bad the Dr prescriped Clonidine and I cannot take them with aspirin so had to stop, they do say that as well as keeping clots at bay there are also suggestions of helping keep cancer cells at bay too so I am upset I had to stop, but the flushes were so bad I had to choose but if the hot flushes should suddenly sunside I will stoip the clonidine and take aspirin again
