Hi Leigh,
I know exactly how you feel, I am a look up everything cos I need to know girl, but sometimes what you read can be quite scary and worries us unnecessarily. I read loads about chemo, taxotere and although it was horrid the reading scared me more, the same as the tamoxifen. I was worried when I had my liver and bone scan, but I am of the mind that its no good worrying over what you cant change. I have no control over all that has been happening to me. I try and eat healthily, well I always did, have the odd drink, and exercise, on the whole I look after myself. So I just hoped all scans would be ok if they weren’t I would deal with that then and luckily for me they were. Hope yours are too.
Where are you in the UK, this is the website for tamoxifen details re fatty liver.

Look forward to hearing how you get on.
Take care

Hi Dawn
Hospital called Friday and I have a liver/gallbladder ultrasound booked for Monday morning - never thought I’d want a gallstone so much in my entire life!!! Symptoms have settled a bit on rice cakes, herbal tea and steamed veggies - my chemo belly is fastly receding!!! Trying to stay optimistic but if the scan Monday doesn’t show anything well… roll on Friday!!!. If its bone mets - will just have to get on with it like every other lady here with them.
Very interesting link re. the Tamoxifen though. I think I will see what transpires over the next week and then have a heart to heart with my Oncologist - been considering getting my ovaries removed for a while now and if it is bone mets I think this may be of use in that respect also with commencing the A1.
Will let you know what’s what.

Hi Leigh, just read your post and wanted to say that I hope everthing goes well for you today. I’m thinking of you.
Hope everyone else if feeling well today. Take care, lots of love, Dianne x x x
I HAVE GALLSTONES yippeeeeeeee!! Never been so glad and relieved in all my life - any other time i’d be like everyone else with this troublesome condition but Oh God …such a relief. Just need to get this sorted and I will be tickety-boo again hopefully. Sonograhper also checked liver (not fatty), spleen, bile ducts and kidneys - all clear and normal!!!
Will still go for bone scan on Friday just as a precautionary check now…isn’t it strange how once you’ve had a diagnosis of cancer any other medical issue pales into insignificance!!
Thank you all so much for your posts - there are so many special bc ladies out there I will alsways be eternally grateful too.
Love & Hugs Leigh xx
Leigh thats fab… well fabber than the alternative.
hope you get the gallstones sorted out though they can be really painful with spasmy pains and shoulder pains.
buscopan is very good for that type of pain if you can take it.
best of luck with the bone scan too.

Leigh - that is great news hope they are able to sort them out for you soon… xxx
Excellent news Leigh, that’s wonderful. Gallstones are painful and a nuisance but at least it’s not the Big C. Marvellous, so nice to see some good news.
Take care, Love, Dianne x x x
Hi Leigh,
I am really pleased it’s just gall stones,at least they can be managed, I was not getting any prob with mine, just surprised they were there when I had a liver scan. He said, did you know you had gall stones, total surprise!!!
Apparently in some research, women who have taken tamoxifen, 37% got gall stones and 2% did who had not taken it. I feel although I was concerned at taking the tamoxifen I hope it is doing me good and keeping the Big C away, but is affecting my body in so many ways. I googled tamoxifen and gall stones, few interesting articles.
Good luck with bone scan
Keep us updated
take care

Leigh - That’s a relief! Can I ask exactly what your symptoms are, please? Where is the pain and is it there constantly? How severe is it? This may help others with similar worries, me included:-)
Thanks.
