hi all. i have been on tamoxifen 2 1/2 years now. about a month ago had hysteroscopy d&c with biopsy. biopsy came back clear. on and off since starting tamoxifen find it is painfull having sex. i become sore after and sometimes feels like i have thrush.i am er positive. does anybody else have the same problem and what do they use. it driving me mad and feel like coming off the tamoxifen. thought all this would be over 2 1/2 on how wrong can someone be. any help please x gaynor

I know the feeling. Only been on Ta’poxy’fen for 6 months and Zoladex for the same time. This problem was discussed on another thread and ‘Yes’ was recommended. They have their own website (just Google Yes) where you can buy oil- or water- based lubricants to replace the moisture lost due to hormone therapy.
I ordered a sample pack of a few of their products. £9.99 + postage. I’ve yet to try them as last time things got ‘interesting’ my body seemed to manage without - (though I was a bit sore after!) but it’s comforting to know I’ve got them if necessary.

thanks jo bcc and jcj. i have read the thread and have found them very useful. today i bought some replens and within 1/2 hour found some releif. if it continues will see if i can get it on repeat prescription or give the yes a go. thanks again for your help x gaynor
You can get oestrogen cream from yuor Doctor which cures the problem if you are on Tamoxifen.
