Hi, I’ve been on Tamoxifen and Zoladex for about 10 months now and apart from the usual side effects (hot flushes, nighsweats, sleeplessness) I have also noticed hairs growing in places they shouldn’t. Got quite a few thick black ones on my chin and upperlip which weren’t there before and my bikiniline and legs are so much hairier than usual! I’ve had laser hair removal years ago as I am rather dark haired but all of those have now come back with a vengeance.
I suspect it’s the Zoladex doing this as it suppresses the female hormones and maybe encourages the male hormones?
Maybe I should have my hormone levels checked?
It’s very frustrating; I feel like every bit of femininity is being drained from me. Not very nice at age 33. I hope I haven’t developed a full bloody beard in another year’s time!
Anyone else got any issues with this?

I’m also 33. Hello! I had laser hair removal on my bikini line and underarms and have had absolutely no regrowth at all. I’ve been on Tamoxifen for 9 months now - but no Zolodex. My face is super hairy though! Am a bit paranoid about it…but too scared to wax/epilate in case it comes back darker and thicker… I think I’m going to ride it out and just pluck out the worst!
