Hi everyone, I have had lumpectomy and rads - finished early November, all has gone well and need to keep taking the tablets now. I’ve been on tamoxifen since September and so far so good but I am worried about the different brands dispensed at the pharmacy. I recall the oncologist warning me that if you change brand you could experience different side effects. I have just collected 3 months supply and not sure if I should return them and get my regular brand. Am I worrying for nothing? Has anyone had problems with changing the brand. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I too have been taking Tamoxifen since Sept last year and suffer with sweats (worse at night) and aching joints, particularly my ankles. Reading the comments on here, many members have experienced side effects from Tamoxifen, some of which are worse with different brands. However, I have had two different brands and found no difference in side effects at all. Good luck x
Hi, I started tamoxifen in 2011 and have had 3 different brands with no noticeable changes to side effects.
