Tango/Azure Hi everybody

I just noticed from an earlier post that somebody else has been down the Tango+Azure route (Wyn, I think).

I was diagnosed March 2004, went through both of these, and am now doing fine.

There’s been a bit on the forum about the Tango trial, but I don’t think I have seen any discussions of Azure - is there anyone else out there? It would be interesting to know.

Azure Trial Hi Sarah

I am also takeing part in the AZURE trial (so far so good) at least I have check ups every 3 months which puts my mind at rest.
Don’t know about you but I always check with them before they start that it is NOT chemo they are giveing me by mistake! ha!
Do you know how long the 3 month intervals last for I know it is for 2 years but after that I keep forgetting to ask.

Hi Sarah and Janet I’m on Azure too (but not tango). I am just about to start my second year. The 3 monthlies last for 2 years then 6 monthly for another three years then monitoring for another five!

Thanks for getting back to me. Looks like I am about 1 year ahead of you on the trial. I finished chemo Oct 2004, and my last 3-month visit is this September, so you are right its 2 years of 3–monthlies.

I think its a good trial to be in - it may do some good, and doesn’t seem to cause any side effects. Glad the Royal Free offered it.
