I am booked to have a tattoo on Tuesday, but now I am facing surgery for lymph nodes to be removed, and possible chemo, do you think I should get it done. Surgery is in 11 days, so if chemo is needed, it will start a few weeks later. I don’t want to put anything at risk! x
I personally wouldn’t but that’s just me! I wouldn’t want anything to affect surgery or chemo if I could help it. X
H, I agree with the other ladies and would postpone it until all your treatment is finished. Your body will need all its resources to heal and I imagine that healing after a tattoo will use up some of this. Plus there is the risk of infection. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Michelle xx

I really would leave it until after you have finished your treatment. Look on it as a celebration of your finishing treatment

I have tattoos on arms and was told to have no more on side breat affected as risk of infection, lymphodema high.
So any new tattos will be on other arm ![]()
It depends really I suppose like the others have said you may have a higher risk of Infection or it may slow healing when your body has been through a trauma of an op, plus as Helena said you could have a tattoo as a celebration at the end of all this, I’m thinking of having something I thought about a very tasteful Blue tit!! With some pink ribbons!!!
Hahaha good one!!
