tax and tac

I thought TAX AND TAC was the same but reading some of the threads i rather confused can anyone helpMarysia

Tax usually refers to a drug called taxotere - it is in the taxanes range, there is also taxol, but I think taxol is usually referred to in full.

TAC - I’m not sure about this, but it may be referring to a chemo cocktail used more in the US than here - there is a regular chemo called AC (I believe the Americans often use this where we use FEC - the ‘C’ being the same drug), and TAC is AC with taxotere.

No doubt someone will correct me if I’m wrong
