Hi chums
I am due to start Taxol…once a week for three weeks and then a week off. I have had chemo before but have not had it at this rate. Has anyone any experience of the regime…how did you feel after the first three doses…I feel all at sea at the moment…not knowing what to expect…It will be different for everyone…I know…but the more feedback I have the better I will feel. I did taxol weekly for 12 weeks, and it wasn’t too bad, the worse side effect for me was hair loss (around week 5) and very dry skin. (my nails were splitting all the time and I’ve never used so much hand cream as in those 12 weeks)
I know it can cause hand and feet syndrome (I think that’s what its called anyway), but I didn’t get it. I was also on herceptin and lapatinib (an oral drug, similar to herceptin) and bby far the worst side effects were caused by lapatinib.

It was nice of you to add your comments…I was on Herceptin/lapatinib and found my hands and feet suffered the most…loads of hand cream. The hair …well at least it is the summer…errrm well abit warmer. Thanks again. Keep well .
