My wife has been diagnosed with secondary Triple Negative breast cancer in both lungs.Initially my wife had the cancer in her left breast and was treated with FEC first(which worked brilliantly),followed by Taxotere(Docetaxel),which was an absolute nightmare.Now my wife is being offered Paclitaxel(Taxol)which is the other Taxane chemotherapy drug.Has anybody had Taxotere that did not work and then treatment with Taxol please ? Can’t answer your question about the 2 Taxes, but there is another member of the family which is sposed to be less harsh in terms of side effects - abraxane - which might be worth investigating?

I had a combination of Doxonrubicin and Paclitaxel x 4 followed by 4 Tax but going for my last tax tomorrow and will double check with oncologist. Certainly did not have the same ses as Tax
