Go for it Bevli and let me know where to find it please? How about asking for tips on getting your head hair and eyelashes to grow faster too?
I just posted on the After treatment has Finished forum - Colouring ‘new’ Hair. Had posted before you suggested eyebrows and lashes - I’ll do a separate title for that one!
PS. love you picture - hope I don’t go that colour though!

Glad that you like my picture Bevli and now you’ll be able to recognise me if you see me in the street!
Haha…I’m sure I’ve seen you somewhere before!
I have had 4 FEC and 4 Docetaxel - and, alas, have had every single side effect (including a rare hand/foot skin one). This includes terrible watery eyes. My last chemo was July 4th - and I will keep this forum posted on when it begins to improve. It sounds trivial but it’s not… very aggravating and has a big impact on daily living.
I’ll also update when my taste buds return to normal - since beginning Docetaxel I haven’t been able to enjoy the taste of anything I’ve eaten or drank. (Improvement near end of cycle but food still tastes bad.) This is hard.
The loss of sensation in hand/toes the next most debilitating, but it seems to improve a bit as the cycle goes on.
In a few weeks I am having double mastectomy, then healing, then radiation, then healing, then reconstruction. So still a long way to go. Hope to face these things without the chemo side effects!
Oh Carolynn, you poor thing you have been very unliucky with all those side effects to deal .Im like you I am the person who gets the side effects listed as "very rare " on the information leaflets you get with drugs .Thank goodness I didn’t have to have chemo but if I had ,I would have no doubt been stacking up the side effects too.Hopefully now things will begin to improve for you .Jill.
Hi all,
I have been reading this thread and feeling a bit better about my ongoing side effects of docetaxel.
I had 3 EC and 3 docetaxel The docetaxel nearly finished me off, cried with the joint pains. I finished on the 3rd Juy and am due a double mastectomy with reconstruction at the end of Aug. I need and L mastectomy and have requested a R but need to see the psychologist on Monday.
I developed the watery eyes and swollen ankles / feet and peripheral neuropathy but the last week I have also developed extremely swollen eyes, upper lids and below, so much so that my eyes have been nearly closed. Its all fluid, it goes down during the day but never back to normal and then overnight it all comes back again.
My GP wasnt sure so gave me chlormaphenicol eye drops (it doenst feel like an infection though) and I have a very good opthalmologist who thought it was an allergic reaction to something so have eye drops and oral anti histamines.
I started letrozole around the same time so I dont know if this is lingering effects of docetaxel - has anyone else experienced this? - or is it the letrozole?
