Can anyone advise me ? Was out today at a park with neice and nephew ,busy day ,was tired when i got home but now feel really rotten , but nothing specific , just not 100%
My temp is normally 36.5 and is at 37.7… should i just get to sleep or call in for advice ? Was advised over 38. Really just want to get to bed.
Day 17 post fec 3
Thanks Lorna
I was told over 38 deg. I would just go to bed, I’ve found if I’m really tired by temp goes up for some reason.
If you’re really really exhasuted then go to bed and when you wake up take your temp, it may be better.
If you feel “fine” other than tired it’s probably just that.
However, personally I’d always avoid hospital/doctors if I can, that is just me.
Hi Lorna
If you can, stay up another hour and take your temp again. If it’s gone up more I’d be inclined to get it checked out - you don’t know what it would be by morning. If it’s the same, go to bed and check it again first thing.

Ring in for advice. About day 11 after my first chemo, I started with a sore throat but felt fine otherwise. Rang GP emergency service as it was a Sat night. Temperature ok, throat ok but sent me to hospital as a precaution. They did a blood test and was 0.1 so immediately put on IV fluid and antibiotics. Was kept in 3 days but fine each time after that.
Never worry about bothering them - you come first and it is VERY important you get anything sorted asap.

Thanks guys - will wait an hou and check it again .

At day 17, bloods are normally okish and the body will fight infection, though if you have doubts, call your helpline and let them advise.
I was told to call if over 37 but as it’s day 17 I’ll have rest it won’t hurt to call but sat eve in a e not gd
Hi Lorna45
Just popped on to forum and saw your quandry. I was in the same situation on Wednesday evening BUT my voice was rapidly going and a temp slowly going up to 37.5. I was 7 days post 2nd FEC so gave my chemo hotline a call. I had to go in for blood checks and chest x-ray and ended up on IV antibiotics over night. However I was out the next day with extra antibiotic cover,If in any doubt give them a ring.
Good luck - hope it’s gone down and you can get a nights sleep (which is something I definitely didn’t get on Wed night). I do worry about turning in to some hypochondriac with a thermometer strapped under my arm 24/7
Thanks - Its down to 37.3 so going tp bed !!!
Thanks for the advice
