I’m still hoping you will get in touch. You mentioned your interest in finding out about Tykerb. I am very interested in finding a trial, or even buying the drug from abroad if I can afford it. I was so shocked at learning that Herceptin doesn’t reach the brain, not that it could have made any difference but I like to know things, I get cross when things are kept from me. Have been rushing around trying to get some answers and progress. I have started LEAP study which combines capecitabine (Xoleda) and lapatinib (Tykerb). The research team have said that they think lapatinib could get approval by the end of the year but whether that means everyone will be able to get I am not sure.
I have answered your post under the main brain thread but please get back in touch - I am not very good with these forum/messaging sites! I guess it comes with practice.
