Hi everyone.
A few weeks ago i found a lump in my breast.
I found this forum whilst doing the dreaded ‘Google’ and lurked for a couple of days before sorting my worries.
To cut a long story short, i really honestly thought the worst, and spent a horrible week and a half going out of my mind with worry about myself, my husband and 2 young boys should ‘the worth happen’
My breast clinic appointment was today and i am very pleased to say my lump has been diagnosed as glandular tissue,whatever that is. I am obviously over the moon, but there is a past of me that is unsettled, as i have realised that it could of just as easily been bad news.
I have literally been looking at all your threads and stories day in day out since first finding my lump, and i guess what i am trying to say is each and everyone of you are amazing.
I don’t want to patronize when i say that, i just wanted to tell any of you that will listen that your strength and support for each other is something really special.
I think having this scare has really changed me and my perspective on everything. It has made me realise that things do happen to people like me, yet though it all something beautiful can be gained from something so tragic.
I am waffling on now, and don’t really know what i hope to achieve my posting this, but if even a bit of my love and support touches any of you i will be pleased.
I don’t know if or when i will need to visit this forum again, but i honestly wish each and every one of you the very best

Thankyou Alex x yes, defiantly going to be preaching breast awareness to anyone who will listen and going to do race for life. Bit of a rubbish contribution, but if you knew how fit i was, you would realise that’s more impressive than it sounds! Lol x

I am so pleased for you and your family, that’s fantastic news!As ChoccieMuffin so rightly says,you’re leaving the waiting room through the best possible door!
Make sure you tell at least 10 friends re:breast awareness, and that each one of them tells 10 friends, and so on. You are a great advert to them that by being breast aware doesn’t always have to be bad news.

Thank you for sharing your sparkling good news! You’ve brought a tear to my eye I’m so pleased for you and your family. One thing that this disease has taught me is too live for the moment, I think we should all take those words on board whether we have cancer or not, it makes you live life like you mean it.
