Hi Everyone
We know that tonight is the first in a series of documentaries showing the reality of living with cancer. This is being shown on BBC1 at 9pm. If you have any thoughts or views, please do use this space to share them with each other.
If any of the content is upsetting our Helpline opens at 9am tomorrow morning, 0828 800 6000 and there is always someone on the Forum to talk to.
Best wishes

Hi! It took me a few days before I felt I could watch the programme. I recorded it because I didn’t want to sit and watch it with my family (husband, daughter 24, son 22) I’m 52 and just finished chemotherapy and now coming to the end of radiotherapy, so diagnosis and active treatment is still very fresh in my mind. Why didn’t I want to watch it with my family? I don’t really know, possibly I felt we’d all been through a lot so unless they really wanted to watch it then I wasn’t going to make them.
I’ve watched both episodes now and so far think it tells you exactly how it is for us patients and our family and friends trying to support us. It covers different cancers at different stages so you do need to be prepared for different outcomes.
