The club that nobody wants to join

Have another wine so sorry about your news it takes time for it to sink in take care and dont 4get this site is full of friends and they understand how you are feeling keep in touch

Hi Kitty Kat.

That moment of diagnosis will stay with you. Stunned, scared, numb all kinds of emotions. It’s the beginning of a new stage of your life. The stage of getting the problem sorted. I am sure I will never be quite the same person as i was before, but that isn’t a bad thing. I am trusting the professionals to get me sorted and listening to so many success stories. You won’t believe the people who will come out of the woodwork that you never knew had BC. Sending you lots of positive thoughts. Janipi

Hi KittieKat
I don’t have anything wise or new to say, I just want to send you a huge hug and yes we do know how you feel. And YOU ARE NOT ALONE - we are all in this together. I hope you get your treatment plan in place quickly now, in a strange way it does help to feel things are moving forward.

My daughter’s getting surgery today - pre-cancerous cells in a smear and she’s really upset after the year we have had.

So I have a seasonal message for Cancer - P*** ***!!

Big hugs to

Hi KittieKat!
Sorry to hear your news but I’ll echo everything the other ladies have said, you aren’t alone, and have definitely found the right place to come!
I was diagnosed in March, just turned 30, this site has become my rock. Where abouts are you? I’m from the North East and meet up with a few ladies that live close by that I ‘met’ on here…would be lost without them.
Once you get your treatment plan in place you will feel better, I know I did. You are in the worst place right now so sending you huge hugs! xxx

Thank you so much to everyone who posted words of encouragement and advice.

You are, without doubt, a remarkable bunch of ladies, and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

FBG, I hope your daughter’s surgery went well, and I just love your seasonal message for cancer!

Emma, I’m in France, and just gearing up to the non stop food and wine fest that the French celebrate Christmas with.

My surgery is not until January, so I intend to make this Christmas a very merry one.

Cathy xxx

Thanks Kittiekat - we’re thinking of you and hope you do enjoy your Christmas. I lived in France for a year (a long time ago) so I know what you mean about the foodfest! Enjoy! Whereabouts are you in France?

My daughter’s surgery went fine thanks - they did find pre-cancerous cells but the good thing is that it has been found during this screening so it looks as if it can be dealt with before it becomes nasty.

I got into trouble about the seasonal message to cancer - oops, didn’t realise it was such a bad word, so it has been removed. (*embarressed*)

I hope everyone has a pleasant Christmas and wish better things for us all in 2011.

Warm hugs
Philippa
