I have just finished chemo, 2 weeks ago, I start RT ON 11TH March. I want to get away for a couple of days maybe a week, hopefully to a spa or somewhere similar. All the spas I contacted wont touch me with a barge pole!
Makes me feel like a leper!
All I want to do is get away, relax and be pampered for a little while.
Any one got any ideas???

The rates are really good, Relaxing by the pool, great restaurants, bar open all night at the hotel, all therapies brought in, massages etc.
Come on after what you have been through you deserve a treat!

I can’t see any reason why I won’t be able to join you. It is perfect timing, I have my reconstruction surgery in November it will be just what I need. x

I been okayed by Cedar Falls in Somerset but can only have manicure, pedicure and Clarins prescription facial. But the place, the atmosphere, the pampering & around the pool with a good book are worth it. Just can’t actually really afford it at mo.!
There’s also a place in Bristol (google it?) called Penny Brohms or something similar but that’s not a personal recommendation - just something I saw!
Also Cancer Haven in Fulham SW19 but you’d have to stay somewhere off-site.
I’m sure people who actually know these places will comment on their appropriateness nor not now!

The deposit I know is 100.00 pounds, I´m waiting to here when the hotel wants this by, as soon as I know I will let you know.

Hiya, I had massage throughout chemo and my ONC gave me a letter to present to anyone who wanted to see it. I finished chemo in November and 3 weeks later went away and had some treatments, they were fine, once I had showed them the letter. Worth a try???

Anna, I live near Cedar Falls and a friend of mine is a therapist there - in fact I see her very regularly for reflexology and reiki at her own home. I will ask her if there’s any flexibility on the treatment availabilities if you have an onc’s letter.
