Hi everyone. I think this is good news. I saw my onc a couple of days ago to be checked over as Im in th middle of rads to my mx area. I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks for scan results after finishing chemo so I asked if they were here yet. The results still weren’t in so the onc pulled them up on his screen. We looked at prevoius scans and the latest scan and as far as he could see there was no cancer present in the liver. He does want to wait for the report but he also added that because the met was only 0.9cm they were 99.9% sure the chemo would do its job. He also discussed the possiblity of surgery in the future. The problem they have at the moment is that the surgeon won’t operate because they can’t see anything but if the met pops up again 2 to 3 years later (wow) then surgery would be an option. So after dicussing reconstruction, overies out etc I actually came out feeling good. I feel well even though I’m only 6 weeks finishing chemo and the Pertjeta and Herceptin don’t seem to be giving me any real side affects but the tamaxifen definetaly is pushing me into menopause.Sorry I’ve gone on but felt that I had to voice this as the past few months have been so crap that having some positive news just had to be shared. Thanks to everyone for all your positive posts that have helped me and others through the treatments.xx
