Tiloop mesh

Hi ive found a smaller than a pea size lump in newly WLE in previous ld with implant reconstruction. The surgeon replaced old implant and added a tiloop mesh. im wondering if its possible to feel the mesh and where it is attached could be this v small lump? Ive had issues with the new breast and hematoma also so wondering if this might have something to do with it.

Hi susynight,

Thank you for posting. It is understandable that you have questions about the small lump you have noticed in your reconstructed breast.

The lump may be due a number of reasons including fat necrosis, scar tissue or the haematoma which you have mentioned. It may also be due to the mesh as you say. It is always important to report any new changes to your treatment team if you are still under their care, or to contact your GP if you are not. They can fully assess and advise you.
