I went through a masectomy 2 weeks ago and am still waiting hear about results…I kept calm and busy while I waited the 6 weeks for my masectomy…
I find I am getting very anxious, I have a golfing holiday booked for in Sept for my 50th…I am in limbo and finding it very difficult…I cannot plan anything because I don’t know anything…
Please can you tell me how long you had to wait for results
Hi Dawn, I had my masectomy on the 30th of June and 9 days after I had a call to meet my consultant. I was a nervous wreck because they said 2 weeks. I’m currently waiting to see my oncologist at the end of this month. Why don’t you give your breast care nurse specialist a call. I’m sure they would be able to tell you how much longer. Good luck. I had a mx on 23rd June and was called in for my results 2 weeks later.
So i agree call your bc nurse and see if the results are in and you can come in earlier
