I have been here for 22 months, dx march 2010. I finished treatment November 2011 after numerous complications with surgery (7 surgeries!) This place has been a lifeline for me, the ladies on here and also the helpline which i have called several times. I have now decided, through breast cancer care to climb Ben Nevis on September 29th of this year. This is going to be a very personal challenge (im sooo unfit!!) and im sure will be an emotional one!I will think of each and every one of you wonderful ladies as im walking or crawling to the top. I am going to try and raise £2000 for BCC as my thank you for being here for me.

thank you Jo and claire. Just been for my morning walk but im shattered. still getting over major surgery but i know i need to start training. Im sooo determined to do it and raise funds to help everybody on here. I WILL do it!!! (have to keep telling myself!)
Wow DeeD that’s impressive! Do you have an online donation thingy… and if so can you PM it to me (I know that because of because of odd legal quirks they don’t like people asking for donations explicitly).
I walked a half marathon last autumn which was great fun as well as motivation to get fit again and to raise money for breast cancer research. Hope you have as much fun.

Im organising a PINK NITE at a local club which i hope will bring in the majority of the sponsorship. My husband is holding a cake sale (hes not baking!) at work - all policemen like cake! lol and my daughters school has agreed to do a pink day. I would love to raise £2000 but its going to be hard so any donations are very gratefully received.
well done on doing the half marathon! I am soo unfit as i havent really done any exercise for 2 years so hopefully i will be a fit,slim version of myself by the time i hit ben nevis!!!

thank you soo much, I will pm you the link as we arent allowed to put it on here. I have just arranged for a PINK NIGHT with a Robbie Williams tribute band, who are donating their fee. We are also trying to get a local footballer to come and do an auction with all the prizes i have managed to raise - its quite addictive this fundraising!!
I would also like to donate but will do it nearer the time if thats ok or in next couple of months. Ive just donated for someone else so would like to do for you to but dont actually have a job in place after redundancy so need to be a little careful at the moment but i will do donate before you do the ‘deed’
