Only a matter of a few minutes, longer spent getting all the equipment bits and bobs ready, then a quick wipe with some iodine stuff, then the inflation itself. i was only having one breast done and only 50mls at a time so all over in 5mins i’d say.

Good luck, ive had 850mls put in so its well inflated, with me was fear of unknown and my port wanted to play hide and seek but once in it’s just a wierd sensation, nothing then you can feel a tightness, dont overdo it say when it’s enough as it feels tigher through the day, take paracetomal or ibrof before and then kick in before the tightness, like others have said takes longer for them to get the equipment out… good luck

Thanks Lisa. I’m feeling a bit scared now. Is it saline they put in? I can feel the port in the left breast but the right one seems hard to find. I know its stupid but I was wondering how they know if they’ve got the right spot to put it in. My appt is 3pm so will take painkillers at 2 I think.
