To take or not

I took letrazole for 2 months but joint pain fatigue and low mood.Oncologist said have 2 week break and then start exemestrane . (I didn’t get any improvement in side effects while on break ) I continued ibandronic acid, well most mornings.
I have been on exemestrane for 2 months joint pain quite bad but mood better now experiencing nausea and bad taste in mouth .
I’m thinking maybe it’s ibandronic acid causing this and adding to joint pain ?
Bone scan Nov was fine if I stop it what is the risk

Hi, not quite sure why u would be on Ibandronic every day?? That’s usually a monthly treatment?? X

Hi sheils,

Thank you for your post.

It sounds like you have had a difficult time coping with the side effects of treatment.

It is important you speak to your treatment team about the possibility of stopping exemestane as they can talk you through your individual risk. This varies for each individual.

You can also talk through the side effects you are experiencing as changes to your taste, joint pains and aches could be related to both exemestane and ibandronic acid. Your treatment team can talk through with you how to manage these.
